Why Am I Here?

I agreed to come here in support of my husband, Jabriel. A card carrying Republican, he is here as a delegate along with his father, representing the Virgin Islands. I was actually excited to come to this event to be a part of greater civic process. Most importantly, I wanted my children to be exposed to something greater than themselves-showing them the importance of being part of the political process. I want them to know that they are American no matter what is transmitted through media to try to make them less; they have the right to be part of the process.
